This module provides an introduction to enterprise and business development in China, and is designed to build a knowledge foundation in all the key entrepreneurial subject areas, with a particular focus on the Chinese context.
A Demonstrate understanding of the role of entrepreneurship and small business in China’s economic history. B Show a thorough understanding of the theories, concepts and empirical works that underpin entrepreneurship and their applicability within Chinese society. C Conduct a feasibility analysis and market research of entrepreneurial opportunities existing in China. This module is integral to contemporary entrepreneurial education within XEC industry schools. Its teaching methodology is rooted in Syntegrative Education, focusing on supporting students in Syntegrative projects within a studio setting. Emphasising project-based learning and cross-disciplinary collaboration among XEC Industry Schools and industry partners. This module serves as a collaborative space for students to apply theoretical knowledge to real-world challenges, engaging in problem-based assessments. Industry experts' involvement enriches students' projects, fostering critical thinking skills essential for innovative problem-solving within the Chinese industry contexts. This methodology cultivates an inclusive, dynamic learning environment, equipping students with holistic skills necessary for success in China.
