As part II of dissertation training, this ESS module intends to develop MSc students’ research skills related to Accounting and Finance subjects. It aims at enhancing students’ understanding of different types of research methods and how to apply them appropriately.
A Identify a research problem in the area of accounting and finance and provide viable solutions B Demonstrate the ability to handle data collection and analysis in the topics related to Accounting and Finance C Explain, discuss, communicate, and give concluding statements based on empirical results from accounting and financial data analysis
The main delivery approach is a seminar with different focuses on each seminar. Each seminar topic will guide students to start their dissertation preparation at an early stage. This ESS module also links to the delivery of Research methods in Accounting and Finance I in semester 1.
