This module is designed to:
•To develop an understanding of creative graphic communication design process in designing for moving images.
•To develop students skills in originating planning and producing original and innovative motion designs for use in television and Film.
A Recognise and utilise skills in graphic communication to the design and production of original, and creative motion graphic sequences.
B Employ a range of sophisticated audio, video and graphics capture and manipulation tools and techniques.
C Utilise technical equipment and resources to produce finished broadcast sequences for Film & Television.
The teaching sessions are divided into three components (Lectures, seminars and Lab practicals). In addition, students will be expected to attend at least 2 tutorials per semester
Lectures will focus on History of Compositing and technical practice.
Seminars will allow technical discussion about the techniques of compositing in various media
An intensive series of practical workshops will equip the students with the compositing skills, understanding of matte painting and layout techniques with practical troubleshooting of software.
