The module aims to introduce students to the modern theory and practice of financial health and wellness. The focus is on the financial sustainability of individuals, with particular attention to the economic challenges of ageing and retirement. The concept of financial health can be extended from individuals to general business, or even to the whole financial sectors or economies. It involves discussions about financial evaluation activities, project evaluation, financial goal setting, estate and retirement planning, and financial analysis of financial products in the context of an ageing society.

Understand the main themes of modern concepts, theory and practice of financial health and wellness, including how financial tools can be used to address the economic challenges of ageing and elder care B. Apply the tools and techniques of analysing financing needs and investment opportunities for financial health considerations, particularly in supporting long-term well-being and ageing-related financial planning C. Interpret and critically examine financial health and wellness issues and controversies, with an emphasis on how finance can contribute to sustainable solutions for ageing and elder support
Based on the philosophy of Syntegrative Education, the teaching sessions are interactive. This module is delivered through a combination of lectures and tutorials over a period of six weeks. In lectures, students are introduced to the core principles, major methodology, and common topics and issues in the area of financial health and wellness. Seminars are given as a platform to address any specific question or issue from individual students, and in addition, discuss some cases of financial health and wellness. This delivery pattern provides space for students to concentrate on completing the problem-based and project-oriented assessments.
