This module aims to provide students with a systematic understanding of successful supply chain management principles and strategies, including an assessment of make versus buy decisions and the relationships that exist between all members of the supply chain.
A Critically evaluate supply chain strategies for different products and services.
B Identify and evaluate variables and relationships of importance to effective supply chain management.
C Collect, organise, analyse and present data and information relevant to supply chain management decisions.
The module involves a range of teaching strategies including lectures, seminars and case study analysis. Independent research and study will be encouraged throughout to complement classroom teaching. Student-led case analysis will facilitate the sharing of knowledge and experiences of class members. Additional material will be in the form of web-based reading and research, selected texts, and contemporary magazine and press articles.
