The aim of this module is to equip students with the necessary analytical skills and techniques to make informed and data-driven business decisions in an ever-changing business landscape. This course is designed for year 1 students who are interested in exploring the world of intelligent finance and business.
A Preprocess, visualize, analyze, and interpret data using a range of analytical techniques. B Make inferences about a business problem based on the findings of introduced techniques. C Develop the ability to use analytical tools, e.g., Excel, Power BI, Tableau, etc.
This module will be delivered through a combination of lectures, workshops, group discussions, case studies and hands-on practical exercises. The lecture component of this module will provide students with a comprehensive overview of the core concepts and theories of analytical skills for intelligent business. Workshops will be interactive sessions that will provide students with hands-on experience applying the concepts and techniques discussed in the lectures. Group discussions will be an opportunity for students to collaborate and share their perspectives and insights on the topics covered in this module. Case studies will be used to provide students with real-world examples of how the concepts and techniques covered in this module can be applied in a business context. Hands-on exercises will provide students with an opportunity to apply the techniques and tools covered in this module to real data.
