The aim of this Year 1 module is to prepare students for study on the BSc Intelligent Supply Chain. The module teaches students about:
1. The role of operations and supply chain management.
2. The framework and the methodology of the intelligent supply chain management.
3. The evidence and data driven decision making skills for supply chain management.
4. Soft skills of pay attention to details, communication, coordination, team work, problem solving, change management, and leadership.
Each week, there will also be a seminar to introduce students to entrepreneurial aspects of the degree programme.

D.Understand the soft skills required by intelligent supply chain
The key themes in the module are introduced in lectures, and followed up in seminars, group discussion, presentation etc.
A variety of teaching and learning techniques that will be employed in the delivery of the course, including intensive tuition, case analysis and guest speakers.
The module will follow an academic literacies approach and some seminars may be co-taught by staff from the English Language Centre, who will use activities to further develop the English language skills of students within the context of the module.
Each week there will be a two hour seminar where students will be able to experience and explore the entrepreneurial aspects of the degree programme.
