This module aims at enabling students to use theoretical concepts for interpreting the complexity of family businesses in practice, to evaluate the different social systems at play and to understand how family and business mutually impact each other. It examines the motivations and role of family firms in the society, as well as the strategies and methods they employ for growth, survival, governance, succession, conflict management and education.

The teaching and learning strategy combines traditional teaching in classrooms with active learning, case studies and interactive projects.
