This module provides students with an understanding of project management, its principles and practices in contemporary project environments, and an understanding of how it contributes to improving organizational performance.
A Establish a critical understanding of project-management components, processes, strategies, and methodologies. B Understand stakeholders' interests and adopt appropriate strategies to manage the stakeholders' expectations in a project context. C Understand and apply various risk-management approaches, risk-evaluation techniques, and contingency planning. D Apply project management framework to analyze the gains and losses on typical projects, and reflect how project deliverables contribute to or hurt organizational performance.
Teaching and learning activities employ case-based and peer-assisted approaches. Seminars with various project management topics will be shared and discussed to enhance the understanding of project management.
