Module 309 is designed for students to achieve two aims: 1) How to become a professional and 2) How to conduct professional work These two aims will be achieved via promoting awareness of personal strengths and latest developments in mechatronics and robotics, following code of conduct, and reaching required standards of engineering professionals. Lectures, tutorials, invited lectures, field trips to professional organizations, and group work will be organized to improve students’ competence, knowledge, and skills for continuous professional development.
A. Demonstrate an awareness of personal strengths and latest developments in mechatronics and robotics, and Use of strengths, knowledge and skills to conduct profession work and demonstrate professional behaviour. B. Identify and analyse ethical concerns and making reasoned ethical choices, and Identification, evaluation and mitigation of risks associated with a particular project. C. Exercise teamwork, leadership, and project management skills adhering to professional working standards. D. Communicate effectively on complex engineering matters with technical and non-technical audiences. E. Describe entrepreneurial activities including market identification, ideas development, business model generation, concept presentation in order to formulate a viable business plan. F. Practice with an inclusive approach to professional practice and recognise the responsibilities, benefits and importance of supporting equality, diversity and inclusion.
