Intelligent robotics technologies have become integral to numerous electronic devices and systems worldwide. This module aims to establish connections between intelligent robotics technologies and real-world products, exploring how these technologies are advancing and enabling enhanced capabilities in modern devices while significantly improving human capabilities and quality of life. The module also sought to provide a broad grasp of Syntegrative Education and how it benefits students. Under this framework, students can also explore various industries and discover their interests. This module promotes student-directed learning and facilitates the transfer from high school to international universities such as XJTLU Entrepreneur College. Additional objectives include encouraging students' curiosity and interest rather than enforcing the nuances of each discipline.
A Demonstrate foundational knowledge of intelligent robotics technologies by identifying key components, describing their functions, and explaining one or two real-world applications through structured case analysis using Syntegrative Education principles and Object-based learning methods. B Demonstrate foundational awareness of Syntegrative Education by articulating key concepts of integrating diverse technologies and applying Object-based learning tools (e.g., mobile phones) and Problem-based learning methods to practical examples.
The module is delivered over four days and takes place entirely at the XJTLU Entrepreneur College (XEC) in Taicang. Students who enroll in each module offered by each school will attend seminars at all the schools in a rotational manner. A "tool" such as a mobile phone will enable students to integrate various technologies by applying object-based learning tools (e.g., mobile phones) and problem-based learning approaches to real-world situations. This enables students to understand the application and benefits of Syntegrative Education. Real-world demonstrations of equipment, teaching facilities, simulations, visualizations, and other elements are provided. The module will take an engaging, interactive approach, with certain seminars co-taught by industry partners or guest speakers who may include activities pertinent to the module's topic. Technology will play a significant role in the module, with materials made available prior to each session and student discussion groups made digitally available following each seminar to ensure an ongoing learning experience.
