Aims and Fit of Module

This module introduces first-year undergraduate students to the fundamental principles of management through integrative and holistic lens. It includes a wide range of global cases and examples from business, showing how integrated business thinking can be applied to real-world organizational contexts. Students will learn to apply their knowledge to solve business problems, carry out organizational analysis and design solutions to address complex organizational problems. Students are prepared for the following undergraduate degree programmes: BA Business Administration, BA Human Resource Management and People Analytics and BA International Business with a Language.

Method of teaching and learning

A variety of teaching and learning techniques will be employed by this module. Lectures introduce foundational theories and analytical frameworks. Tutorials are designed for applied learning, translating theoretical concepts into practice. In addition, consistent weekly guidance, one-to-one office hours and accessible online resources are provided to help students’ independent study.
